A mostly 3D-printable hotwire that can be used to cut all kinds of foam. The wire is being kept under tension by a spring to prevent slack when the wire heats up. I used a 60V 5A adjustable power supply to heat up 0.5mm the Nichrome wire.

-1x 20x5mm V-type pulley
-1x 30mm spring
-1x 2m 0.5 Nichrome wire
-1x 60v 5A or 30V 10A adjustable power supply
-4x 10mm M3 bolts + nuts
-7x 30mm M4 bolts + nuts
-4x 20mm M5 bolts + nuts
-12x wood screws 4.5x30mm
